I live in a house in the southern district. I used to share it with my cousin's husband, but he didn't stay for long in Ruby City.
It.is good that you are taking steps to make yourself at home in the city again. [The awkward. He wants to ask but... Maybe.] Are there many from your world at the hotel? I used to be acquaintances with several people of your world, but I stopped keeping track when they left.
You did. I would be hard pressed to think of anyone who disliked you. You
were very popular, and knew many people through your shop. I don't know how
many of them are left, though, you were gone for a long time. I believe we
used to have more residents from your world, too.

[He hesitates, maybe too long to get away with it, but in the end that
doesn't matter. He doesn't intend to lie, not exactly.]
Many things happened in the time you were here, but nothing you need to
concern yourself with. It is odd to know you don't remember, but you won't
make me uncomfortable. [At least not more uncomfortable than telling her of
Zack would make him.]
The reply was:
[She narrows her eyes in thought before shaking her head with a smile.
There's something up but it doesn't seem too important or it's just too
uncomfortable for him to talk about.]
Well, that's good to know that it's nothing major. I seemed to have a lot
of friends before though. That's good.
